Karma Gyaljen Sherpa

Born in the mountain community of Makalu-5, Sankhuwasabha, Nepal, on 22 April 1997, he developed a deep connection with the Himalayas from an early age. Growing up surrounded by some of the world's highest peaks, he learned the values of resilience, discipline, and respect for the mountains, eventually building a successful career as a professional climbing Sherpa.

His mountaineering journey began on Mount Everest, where he achieved his first successful summit during the 2018 spring season. Since then, he has gone on to successfully summit Everest six times (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025), demonstrating remarkable consistency on the world's highest mountain.

In addition to Everest, he has built an impressive portfolio of high-altitude expeditions across the Himalayas. He successfully climbed Ama Dablam (6,812 m) three times during the 2019, 2021, and 2023 autumn seasons, a mountain widely regarded as one of Nepal's most technically beautiful peaks. During the 2022 spring expedition to Lhotse (8,516 m), he reached Camp IV, gaining valuable experience on one of the world's highest mountains before returning to successfully summit Lhotse in 2024.

Continuing to expand his high-altitude achievements, he successfully summited Himlung Himal (7,126 m) twice in 2024 and 2025, and added Manaslu (8,163 m) to his accomplishments during the 2025 autumn season. These expeditions have strengthened his expertise in expedition logistics, route preparation, fixed rope management, camp establishment, and supporting climbers in extreme alpine environments.

Beyond his climbing record, he has completed professional training in First Aid, High Altitude Sickness Management, and Mountain Rescue, equipping him to respond confidently to emergencies while prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of every team member. His ability to remain composed under pressure, combined with years of practical experience above 8,000 meters, makes him a highly trusted climbing partner for international expeditions.
