Dawa Tashi Sherpa

Born on 29 August 1998 in Makalu-2, Sankhuwasabha, Dawa Tashi Sherpa grew up surrounded by the rugged landscapes of eastern Nepal, where life in the mountains inspired his passion for climbing from an early age. Developing his skills through years of high-altitude experience, he has become a dependable climbing Sherpa known for his endurance, technical ability, and commitment to supporting climbers in some of the world's most demanding environments.

Dawa has built an impressive mountaineering résumé in a relatively short period. His greatest achievement is successfully summiting Makalu (8,485 m) three times; once in 2024 and twice during the 2025 climbing season; demonstrating both consistency and exceptional performance on one of the world's most challenging 8,000-meter peaks. He also participated in successful expeditions to Everest (8,848.86 m) and Kangchenjunga (8,586 m) in 2026, further strengthening his experience on the Himalaya's highest mountains.

Beyond the 8,000-meter peaks, Dawa has climbed Himlung Himal (7,126 m) in 2025, Khan Tengri (7,010 m) in 2024, and Island Peak (6,189 m) in 2024, giving him a well-rounded background across technical alpine climbing and high-altitude expeditions. These experiences have refined his abilities in route preparation, fixed rope work, load carrying, camp establishment, and supporting climbers throughout challenging ascents.
